Cupcake Polish - Happiness

I am continuing with the Spring palette for my nails. Today I have Cupcake Polish Happiness which was from the January 2017 Holo Hookup box.

This is a stunning light (almost pastel) green linear holo with pink shimmer. If you like greens, you need this because I honestly have never seen another polish quite like it. I am wearing 2 coats but if you have a longer free edge than I do you might need 3 coats.

This is the perfect green shade for Spring and I love how the pink shimmer comes through. The formula was lovely and the holo is beautiful.

Chaos & Crocodiles - Harmonious (Sheer)

Spring is finally starting to show itself and I couldn't be more excited. Chaos & Crocodiles Harmonious is like a springtime explosion on my nails.

This is one of the earlier indie polishes I acquired and it still holds a special place in my heart because it's absolutely adorable and it makes me happy when its on my nails. I wore this as more of a jelly sandwich. I think it's one coat of Wicked Polish Drunk in Public, 2 coats Harmonious (Sheer) and one coat of OPI Funny Bunny which really helped make it look extra milky and soft and dainty. Then, I used 2 coats of top coat to make it extra smooth.

I'm a sucker for rainbows and neon and glitter so this nail polish is my happy place. I didn't want to take it off!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Manna's Majestic Masterpiece

I have been waiting to wear this nail polish for so long and the right time has finally come: Spring! From the inaugural Color Box (Purple All the Things), Manna's Majestic Masterpiece is a gorgeous "lilac crelly packed with silver holographic microglitters and blue to purple shifting iridescent glitters."

I am wearing three thin coats which I think is the best way to wear this polish so you get maximum sparkle and squish. And top coat, of course. I love how this polish is a true lilac. While it's purple, it's also slightly grey/blue and oh so stunning. I would love a BEGL polish like this in every colour.

On my thumb, I wore Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Siren's May Bouquet which is another gorgeous squishy. It's actually the perfect pairing with MMM because, according to Julie, "Siren's May Bouquet was an idea that was part of my collaboration with Manna's Manis for the Purple All the Things Color Box. This lilac crelly is packed with rainbow iridescent microglitters and rainbow microflakies." They're kind of like sister polishes!

Both are still available for sale. You can purchase Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer here.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Her Royal Siren

I always feel special when I wear a Siren polish from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer. They're always that little bit extra.

Her Royal Siren is from sometime in 2015 and I won it last year in the Depression Awareness Auction. There were only 17 bottles made and this is 16/17. I can't find an official description anywhere really but it's a glitter polish (clear base) loaded with blue glitters of all shapes, sizes and shades. I think I also detect the tiniest bit of pink shimmer/glitter?

At any rate, it's a gorgeous blue glitter bomb and I layered 2 coats over 2 coats of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Glory which is a shimmery blue jelly. I finished off with Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and then a coat of HK Girl top coat.

In the macro, you can really see all the blue goodness.

Smitten Polish - The Accidental Nudist

The Accidental Nudist. I love the name and it is one of the most perfect holo nudes that I have ever tried (for my skin tone).

The Accidental Nudist is an older polish and Smitten Polish is now Dreamland Lacquer so this isn't the easiest polish to get your hands on so if you see it for sale on Facebook... pounce! If you're as pale as I am, this will rock your world.

You can buy Dreamland lacquer here. Join the Smitten with Dreamland Facebook for updates!

Girly Bits - In One Year and Out the Other

With Spring in the air, I have been gravitating toward a lot of pastels and pinks. Today I have a pastel pink from Girly Bits.

In One Year and Out the Other is described as a "light pink crelly with violet/red and pink shimmer, and pink to green UCC flakes." This was one half of the January COTM duo but it is still available from Harlow & Co. Yay!

I absolutely love how delicate and dainty this nail polish is. I also love the flakies. I remember sayin that I hated flakies when they first rose to fame as a popular component in indie polishes but I am eating my words now. Let the record show that I think UCC flakies are magical. Look at that macro below... come on!

Remember how I won a super awesome Color Clutch? Well, the Color Clutch was also FULL OF CUPCAKE POLISHES! Pink, red and berry-toned Cupcake Polishes to be exact.

While I have tried a few Cupcakes in the past, I am SO SO SO happy to add 14 beauties to my collection. I fell hard for Cupcake Polish when I borrowed Bubbles and Baubles from my nail polish pal, Natalie.

I was lucky enough to have won 14 gorgeous Cupcake Polishes from various collections since the launch of Cupcake Polish. I am a well known lover of pinks and reds so this was literally the perfect prize for me! Thank you so much to Sara who owns Cupcake Polish <3

So, how does one show off their winnings? A skittle mani!

From Index to Pinkie, all Cupcakes, all topped with QDTC:
Hatch of the Day

Pick of the Patch was on my thumb (I forgot to take a picture but it's so glowy and pink!).

Color Clutch Review

Any nail polish fanatic, like myself, has probably tried about a dozen different storage methods for their beloved bottles. The one thing that's always plagued me was the ability to quickly glance at the bottles themselves to find the perfect shade to suit my mood.

I was recently lucky enough to win my very own Color Clutch (along with 14 beautiful Cupcake Polishes) which is a fantastic and innovate nail polish storage solution. I love colour and the Color Clutch is a pretty cool nail polish storage solution that allows you to show off your pretty polishes rather than having them hidden away in a drawer.

The Color Clutch securely holds 14 polishes of many varying shapes and sizes. A full list of all the brands it can fit is listed here. I wanted to test it out for myself so I found some of my more obscurely shaped bottles or super large bottles (ahem, ORLY, ahem) and they all fit easily into the Color Clutch. What I really love about the Color Clutch is how portable it is. If I were to ever go on vacation again (probably not anytime soon), this would be a great way to take my bottles with me. I would imagine this would be perfect for nail artists/techs when working with clients.

The massive ORLY bottle fits!

The Cupcake and Dreamland bottles fit even though the Dreamland is actually rather skinny, it won't move around - yay!

My Cult Nails (oh, how I miss that brand!) cylindrical bottle and traditional round 15 mL Girly Bits fit, too!

As you can see, there's a ton of padding in there for the bottles and it just looks so pretty! As you can imagine, my collection is MASSIVE and I would be lying if I didn't say I would love to swap my Helmer for a ton of Color Clutches but it just wouldn't be financially realistic for me at this point in time. I am going to use my Color Clutch to display some of my most treasured polishes on my dresser.

One last tidbit about the Color Clutch, the side panel features a "Colour Code" where you can swatch the polishes contained within it (see below). I absolutely LOVE that idea! If I wanted to be really OCD about it, I might even write, or use a labeler to print, the names of the polishes in the Color Code area. I love how the Color Clutch is almost like a live nail polish book - you could have your own Color Clutch "book shelf" with a set of gorgeous spines showcasing your polishes.

The Color Clutch retails for $19.99 and is available in 3 different colours depending on your style.

You can purchase your own Color Clutch online or at The Container Store.

I won this product in a giveaway sponsored by Color Clutch and Cupcake Polish. I was not obligated to write a review but I wanted to share my honest opinion nonetheless.
